Cookie Policy
Filestay sets no cookies of its own. These come from Google, for advertising and analytics.

The categories
Strictly necessary
None. The site works without any cookie at all — no session, no login, no cart. Features that remember things (your theme, your recent tools, your saved-megabytes counter) use localStorage, which is not a cookie and is never sent to any server.
Consent management
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, a consent banner appears on your first visit. Your choice is stored so the banner does not reappear on every page. Withdrawing consent is possible at any time via the "Privacy settings" link in the banner's footer, or by clearing site data.

Cloudflare Web Analytics is also used and sets no cookies at all — it does not track visitors across sites or build profiles.

What none of them can see
No cookie on this site — ours, Google's, or anyone else's — has access to the files you process. Files are read into the memory of the browser tab and never transmitted, so there is no request for a cookie to attach itself to and no server-side record for a cookie to correlate with. This is a property of the architecture, not a setting we chose.
Turning them off
Every browser can block third-party cookies entirely; on Safari and Firefox it is already the default. Blocking them does not break any tool on this site, because no tool depends on a cookie. You can also opt out of personalised advertising at Google My Ad Center.
