Scanners are generous. They give you the blank back of every double-sided page, the separator sheet, the fax cover and occasionally a picture of the lid. Deleting is the tidying step between scanning something and sending it to anyone who will judge you for it.
When you need this
- A duplex scan produced a blank page after every real one.
- A fax or transmission cover sheet is on the front and nobody needs it.
- A page was scanned twice, or scanned crooked and then scanned again.
- An internal note or a pricing page should not go to the recipient.
Choosing what goes
Click the pages to remove, or type their numbers. For a duplex scan where every second page is blank, the odd and even buttons do the whole job in one click. The counter tells you how many are selected, so you can sanity-check before committing.
Deleting is not redacting
This is worth being blunt about. Removing a page removes that page — it does not remove anything from the pages you keep. If a page you are keeping contains a number, a name or a signature that should not be shared, deleting other pages does nothing about it. Redaction is a different job and needs a different tool.
The original stays as it was
Your file is read, never written. What you download is a new document with the remaining pages copied across — text still text, images untouched, quality identical.
